Girls soccer finals: Callan Harrington caps brilliant career with goals records as Jesuit three-peats
by JD Humburg | The Oregonian/OregonLive
Single-season scoring record holder.
Career scoring record holder.
Three-time state champion.
That’s quite the trifecta that Jesuit senior Callan Harrington took away from Hillsboro Stadium on Saturday night after she scored two goals in the Crusaders’ 3-0 victory over Mountainside in the Class 6A girls soccer final.
Harrington broke a three-way tie with former Hillsboro and U.S. national team star Tiffeny Milbrett and former Catlin Gabel and Jesuit standout Sara Bagby atop the career scoring table with her first goal 7½ minutes before halftime, then surpassed Milbrett’s single-season record with a goal 10 minutes into the second half. And 10 minutes into the second half, junior defender Macy Barhyte sent a long ball upfield that Harrington cut in front of her mark to run onto; Harrington then slotted a low shot past onrushing keeper Sydney O’Billovich for the season record.
“That’s pretty cool,” Barhyte said when told she assisted on the record goal. “I just love playing with Callan. She’s a great player, a great teammate, and it’s super rewarding to see her become such a great player.”

6A girls soccer championship: Rebuilding year? Not quite. Jesuit blasts Clackamas to complete undefeated season
by Rene Ferran | For The Oregonian/OregonLive on November 11, 2018
The Jesuit girls soccer team capped one of the most dominant seasons in state history Saturday night, routing Clackamas 8-0 in the OSAA Class 6A state championship game at Hillsboro Stadium.
Ranked No. 1 in the nation by United Soccer Coaches almost the entire fall, the Crusaders (19-0) finished a second consecutive undefeated season with the program’s 13th title.
They tied a state record for goals scored and most lopsided victory in a final at any classification, and they finished the year outscoring opponents 128-1.
