STX Rising DI West: Standouts
by Casey Vock (3/19/17)
Evan Wayno, Midfield, Jesuit (Ore.)/3d Oregon, 2019
Wayno is a good sized, determined midfielder who can be a tough matchup given his height and ability to cover ground and scan the field with coverage on him. The righty has skill and is can be a threat to feed or dodge from out on the perimeter and especially up high. Wayno has good vision and used his body well to protect the stick driving the alley with his head up. When he got his hands free, he could put hard shots on cage.

"Evan showed his ability to score with both hands and was most effective when dodging hard down one side and quickly rolling back inside to get off his shot. He showed a variety of skills including good use of pump fakes while dodging to freeze defenders. He also used the draw and dump concept to create offense for his teammates. Has a good quick split dodge to get his dodges started. He has a tall athletic frame with plenty of tools and skills."
